The National Institute of Technology Durgapur (also known as NIT Durgapur) was established by an Act of Parliament in 1960. The institute has been accredited by the NBA. NIT Durgapur has been ranked 43 under the ‘Engineering’ category by the NIRF Ranking 2023. It offers UG, PG, and PhD programmes under 14 departments and the courses include BTech, MCA, MSc, MBA, MTech, and PhD. NIT Durgapur admissions are entrance-based for UG and PG courses.
