National Law University (NLU), Delhi is a state university that was established in 2008 and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It is approved by the Bar Council of India and is accredited with NAAC Grade A 3.6. According to NIRF 2024, NLU Delhi has been ranked in  2nd position under the law category.

The university courses such as BA LLB (Hons), LLM, PhD and Joint Masters / LLM. Students are also offered Diploma and Bridge Courses in various specializations. Admission is based on merit in the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) conducted by the university itself. NLU Delhi also offers student exchange programs, which allow students to study law at foreign universities. The university provides financial assistance in the form of multiple scholarships to meritorious students so that students can pursue their careers without any restrictions and obstacles. The median package stood at INR 14 LPA for BA LLB (Hons) and 12 LPA for the LLM program in 2023.

Admission is offered for both national and international students at NLUD. Candidates can register for admission online through the official website by paying the requisite fees.

NLU Delhi Cutoff 2025

NLU Delhi Cutoff is the minimum mark the candidates are required to secure in AILET conducted by the university for admission to BA LLB (Hons) and LLM programs. NLU Delhi Cutoff will be AILET 2025 was concluded for all the categories. The cutoff for the General Category for BA LLB (Hons) stood at 62 and LLM at 35 in Round 1.

NLU Delhi Placement 2025 is yet to be announced. The institute offers placements and internship opportunities for final-year students. NLUD According to the NLU Delhi NIRF 2024 Report, published on the official website a total of 69 students from BA LLB (Hons) and 50 students from LLM  Batch 2023 were placed. NLU Delhi Scholarships

The university offers scholarship facilities for meritorious students based on their academic merit and family income. NLU Delhi Scholarship amount covers the tuition fee, boarding and lodging charges, books and stationery expenses. Some of the scholarships offered by the university are as follows:

NLU Delhi Facilities

National Law University Delhi located in the capital of India offers a top-notch infrastructure for students on campus. Some of the facilities offered by the university include:

  • Library: The university houses T.P.S. Chawla Library a building with 2 floors consisting of a well-maintained stock of 37,500 books, 180 current subscriptions to journals and newspapers along with 250 CDs and DVDs. The library also subscribes to several online databases of national and international spheres like Westlaw International, LexisNexis Academic, EHart books etc.
  • Computer Centre: NLU Delhi Campus is Wi-Fi enabled and the computer centre has 50 high-tech desktops with the availability of Microsoft operating systems and is well equipped with optical devices. The centre also facilitates a printing facility.
  • Auditorium: The air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 650 people is equipped with state-of-the-art audio and visual facilities. It is used for seminars, lectures and cultural activities.
  • Digital Classroom: The classrooms at NLUD are equipped with digital podiums, LCD projector, display screen & Wi-Fi to facilitate a better learning environment for students.
  • E-Moot Court Hall:  The moot court at the university is well-equipped with audio-visual facilities and can seat 170 people to aid students in their practice.
  • Hostel: Separate hostels are provided for boys and girls with facilities such as AC, Mess, Security and other basic amenities. NLU Delhi Hostel Fee ranges between INR 1.28 Lakhs to INR 6.4 Lakhs for boys and girls.
  • Mess: The university provides a well-furnished central mess on campus and caters for students and staff along with a well-maintained separate mess at the girls’ and boys’ hostel.
  • Transport Facilities: Students are also offered transport facilities to campus and court visits, Legal Aid Programmes and Clinics.
  • Banks: The university has UCO Bank open from 1-2 pm on specified days of the week for transactions and an HDFC ATM facility in the cafeteria.
  • Sports Facility: NLU Delhi has volleyball and basketball courts. Students are encouraged to utilize the well-equipped gym in their respective residency halls.
