Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is a state university that was established in 2003 by the Government of Gujarat. The university is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). GNLU is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), International Association of Law Schools (IALS), Asian Law Institute (ASLI) and Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute. As per India Today 2024, GNLU Gandhinagar is ranked as 3rd top law college.
GNLU offers BA LLB (Hons), BCom LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), BSc LLB (Hons), BSW LLB (Hons) at the undergraduate level, LLM at the postgraduate level, PhD at the doctoral level. The university also offers admission to UG and PG courses based on merit in the CLAT UG and CLAT PG respectively. Admission to PhD is based on the merit in the admission test conducted by GNLU. GNLU Admission to all the courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels is entrance-based. Admission to Integrated BA / BCom / BBA / BSc / BSW LLB (Hons) and LLM programs based on the merit in CLAT UG and CLAT PG respectively. GNLU Gandhinagar conducts an admission test for admission to the PhD and candidates must further appear for a research proposal presentation and personal interview. Candidates qualifying in UGC NET / JRF / GPAT are also eligible for PhD admission at the university.
Admissions to BA / BCom / BBA / BSc / BSW LLB (Hons) and LLM at GNLU are through CLAT scores followed by the counselling conducted by the Consortium of NLUs. Candidates can register for CLAT by paying the requisite fees:

GNLU Gandhinagar has a dedicated placement cell that trains its students to enhance their personal, interpersonal and professional skills. The university insists that students take up internships and several trainings while in their period of study.
