NIFT Mumbai offers admission to its UG and PG programs based on the score obtained by the candidates in the NIFT Entrance Exam followed by a Situation Test or Personal Interview, if applicable to the course. NIFT Entrance Exam is a national-level Computer Based Test (CBT) that will be conducted in various cities in India for admission to various NIFT campuses.

Candidates who have qualified and obtained a merit rank in the NIFT Entrance Exam will have to register for the NIFT Counselling for the allocation of seats for admission to NIFT Mumbai. NIFT Counselling is conducted for admission to all the NIFT campuses across India in multiple rounds depending on the number of seats. The seat allotment result after each round will be released on the official website of NIFT.
