Maharani Lakshmi Ammanni College for Women (MLACW) is a public educational institute established in 1972. The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, vocational, and PG diploma courses in all three streams of arts, commerce, and science. The mode for applying for the admissions in this college is offline. The admission to the college is done on the basis of merit. The minimum qualification to apply for admission for an undergraduate and vocational course is to pass the intermediate examination (10+2) and for postgraduate and diploma courses is to complete graduation.

Admissions in this college are based only on merit. The minimum requirement for any candidate to apply for admission for the undergraduate and vocational courses is to have scored at least 50% in their intermediate examination (10+2)

Whereas, the requirement for any candidate to apply for admission for the post-graduate and diploma courses is to have scored at least 50% in the final examination of their graduation.

The admission form can be obtained from the college office on payment of a nominal fee
The candidates are expected to submit the duly filled admission form on or before the set date for admission procedure.
The forms will be scrutinized and those who have scored the highest, will be short-listed and the list will be updated on the college notice board.
Candidates provisionally selected for admission should appear before the Admission Committee with parents/guardians along with the required documents

MLACW Facilities

Library: The library of the college is beautifully structured. It has ample books and journals available for the reference of the students. Its collection is updated and revised every year. The library also has a reading room where the students can conveniently refer to the study materials. They also provide internet facilities to the students in the library.
Gym: The college believes that physical health is an important aspect of one’s success. They provide gym facilities to the students who are fitness conscious and those who aspire to maintain their bodies. They are also provided with a trainer which helps them in availing the maximum benefit of the gym
Sports: The college has a sports club which plays sports such as netball, throw-ball, badminton, basketball, kabaddi, chess and carrom board. The students who wish to enroll themselves in this club, are free to do so. They are also provided professional coaching for the same. The college uses Government College playground located at the opposite of the college for outdoor sports and sports room for indoor sports.
